Dr Nirmala Pillay

Nirmala Pillay is Reader in law at Leeds Beckett University. Her research interests are in Public Law and Human Rights. She has published in the areas of Human Rights, Professional Ethics and Constitutional Law and her current research is concerned with HIV-positive female prisoners in Zimbabwe and Malawi.  She has served on the Council of Liverpool University and has chaired the University’s Research Ethics Committee; she was also a chapter member of Liverpool Cathedral and a board member of Milapfest.
