Gerry Doherty is a qualified Mechanical Engineer and Company Director, and a life-long resident of Derry, Northern Ireland. He has over 36 years’ post-qualification experience in industry, and has held commercial managerial roles at board level, specialising in company growth development, and acquisitions and divestitures. Gerry has extensive experience in the aerospace, automotive, energy, pharmaceutical and chemical sectors. Gerry has a great passion for producing positive results for companies, and currently provides strategic guidance in support of SME company development.

Gerry has been happily married for over 33 years to childhood sweetheart Siobhan, a highly dedicated primary school teacher. They have two children; Ethan, a specialist doctor, and Sophie, who is a chemical engineer. In his spare time, Gerry is a keen long-distance runner, holds a life-long interest in music, and is a dedicated supporter of Derry’s Foyle Hospice.
