Muna heads up our Refugees as Rebuilders™ Programme, which is part of Initiatives of Change UK’s Trustbuilding focus. She is a Phytochemist by training and an environmentalist, engaged in the ecosystem restoration of degraded arid land for sustainable livelihood regeneration. A former refugee herself, Muna has played a critical role in shaping our curriculum of training which is available to settled diaspora refugees’ leaders and professionals. She is also involved in developing a project that aims to domesticate the hardy, drought-resistant Yeheb plant – a source of food for humans and livestock.
