Project Coordinator to the Head of Sustainable Communities Programme

Do you have a passion for building communities, improving wellbeing and playing a part in changing the heart of our nation?

Do you enjoy travelling, meeting and talking to people from all walks of life and faith traditions?

Have you got experience in community development, outreach and delivering activities or simply transferable skills which fit the bill? Look no further, we want to hear from you.

An exciting opportunity awaits the right candidate with a passion and purpose for community work, to give leadership to a diverse team engaged in many facets of community building across the United Kingdom. The contract will be for 2 days per week, for 10 months commencing on 30 March 2020.

Sustainable Communities Volunteer post

We are looking for an effective and passionate individual who has a commitment to community development and international relations to join our diverse team of people at the IofC UK office.

IofC is a world-wide movement of people of diverse cultures, who are committed to the transformation of society through changes in human motives and behaviour, starting in their own lives.

IofC’s communities work is based on inspiring people to go to the roots of their faith so that they find new motivation and inspiration. The Sustainable Communities Programme is a values-based programme, which mobilises communities to tackle critical issues. It focuses on: Ethical Leadership, Sustainable Living and Trust Building, which are central to IofC’s outreach.

The purpose of the role is to support and work as a team with the Head of Sustainable Communities Programme and its Project Coordinator, who are responsible for the coordination and management of the programme. You will assist in building successful relationships with the network members as well as providing assistance with the overall administration, organisation of national network events.
