The UN General Assembly declared 21 September as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. COVID-19 has thrown our world into further turmoil and forcibly reminded us that what happens in one part of the planet impacts people everywhere. In these difficult times of physical distancing, this International Day of Peace is dedicated to fostering dialogue and collecting ideas. Participants shared stories, ideas and discussed the complex layers of ‘shaping peace together’.
This event was organised by Creators of Peace UK in collaboration with Initiatives of Change UK.
